U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) Chris Thorne

Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Chris Thorne spent more than 30 years serving in the United States, Asia, the South Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa in a variety of roles and assignments, after joining the United States Navy at 17 years old. Following his military service, Chris helped to establish and scale a start-up company focused on successful military transitions to civilian careers as well as supporting military families.

In 2021, Chris founded Chris Thorne Consulting with a focus on informing and educating industry with a focus on maximizing veteran and military family talent acquisition and retention. Chris is an accredited Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and works with various business and nonprofit organizations in developing and implementing veteran hiring and retention strategies and compliance driven practices.

Chris serves on multiple non-profit Boards and committees is actively engaged in local, regional and national veteran’s advocacy programs and speaks nationally on veteran related issues. Chris is a native of Phoenix, Arizona and currently resides in Carlsbad, California.
